Mobile Twinning Feature Overview

The Mobile Twinning feature, when enabled, allows you to connect an external phone—such as your mobile or home phone—with your IP Office extension. This means that when someone calls your extension, both your extension and the external phone will ring, enabling you to answer the call from either device.

If the call is not answered on either device, it will follow the rules set for your extension, such as being redirected to your voicemail.

Important Notes:

- If "Do Not Disturb" is activated, any calls to your extension will result in a busy tone or will be redirected to voicemail. Your external phone will not ring in this case.

- If you silence a call, your caller may be redirected to the voicemail of the twinned device before reaching your extension’s voicemail.

- For incoming calls from a group, the group settings must be changed manually from "Collective Ring" to "Sequential Ring." Once this change is made, the call will ring through each user in the group until one person answers, or it will be directed to the group’s voicemail after 45 seconds.

Transferring Calls:

You can transfer a call to another extension while you are on the call. To do this, simply press ** followed by the extension number. The call will be sent to that extension.

Note: If the call is not picked up, you will reach that person’s voicemail instead of the caller's voicemail. The caller will remain on hold with hold music. To return to the caller who is on hold, press ** again.

Switching Calls Between Devices:

If you are on a Twinning call using your cell phone and need to pick it up on your desk phone, go to your desk phone and press the Twinning button. This action will disconnect the call from your cell phone and transfer it to the desk phone.

Conversely, you can also send the call from your desk phone to your Twinned mobile phone by pressing the Twinning button.
